Mom ~

I'm really looking forward to have my mom here tomorrow. I have not see her since Aug 12th for Mom and Dad's 50th Anniversary's party. She's planning to come by tomorrow because she's going to take me to the hostipal on Wed early morning. I will have my left knee surgery - not looking forward to it. I had my right knee fixed last June. Wheooo, very painful and I'm getting better.

My cartlidge got all messed up and Dr also puts my menicous back where it belongs to. I had 2 cuts along with 2 stitches. All black and blue around my kneecap. I've been gone to therapy 3 times a week for 1 month. It's not easy to bend my legs down with sore, throbby kneecap. Sooo, it's time for my left knee to be fix. Yike. I want her to take me to the surgery before she and Dad go back to Florida for this winter.

I'm sure we will have a ball and will have a good time. I'm sure we will catch up with news. I've talked to her online almost everyday but it's not the same. She's a master knitter, crafters and quilter. I'm sure she will bring some stuff for my crafts.

Can't wait to have her around. :o)

Enjoy your day ~ Hugs!!

Silly bird, Sunny

Years ago, I've always wanted a cockatiel bird. That time, my ex-boyfriend and I went to a pet store few miles away from here. This bird attracted me and kept walking back and forth on her bar. She acted like " Lookie at me, Lookie at me... I'm pretty and take me home." My b/f said that she kept chirping which as I can not hear. I knew that females doesn't chirp very much except males. I decided to take her home and I was pretty nervous. I didn't know anything about bird at home and got everything what she really needed. My daughter called her "Sunshine" because she's so bright yellow along with orange circle on her cheeks. We kept calling her "Sunny". She is with me since 2001.

She doesn't like anyone to touch her back or tail. She prefers to have her head rub or stratch under her chin. That's about it. If I do, she would hiss at me or fly away.

Silly bird :o)

~Sweet Dreams

Yay!

I finally finished ~Sweet Dream~ pillow. I found this idea from the magazine and I've always want to make one. It came out sweet! I cut the letters along with sticky thingie, I can't remember what it called. I stitched around the letters with moss green floss threads and stuffed with stuffing. It took me forever to stuff it, Heh heh. I added 4 old soft pink buttons each corner. Right now, It is on my bed along with my old log cabin pinkish quilt that my friend gave it to me years ago. ( She hated pink!!)

Like it?.. :o)

Get ready for Fall :)

Fall is my favorite season. I love beautiful changing leaves. Red, yellow and purplish leaves always draws my attention and everytime I see the changing leaves ~ I get goosebumps. That means Winter is a-coming. ( I am not looking for C~O~L~D weather. :o)

I want something different to make. I decided to make a cutie Jack-o-lantern along with crow. I added black buttons as face. I also added horseshoe nail as nose. Spainish moss is on top of the pumpkin with broken wood ( from last winter ice storm). Recently, I just finished penny small quilt. I put it on top of my old child rocker chair. Awesome! I'm planning to sell both of it. I will try to sell it thur my daughter's work. Her workers always freaked when they see my craft projects and fight over with it. Who will buy it?.. Heh heh.. If I don't sell it - I might sell it in Ebay. Who knows?

Have a great weekend and stay safe. ~Deb
